At Wright’s Chapel AME Church, we are a Christ-centered congregation rooted in the rich heritage of the African Methodist Episcopal tradition. Born from a legacy of faith, resilience, and liberation, we embrace Wesleyan theology, connectional unity, and a deep commitment to spiritual growth and social witness.
We believe in growing in Christ through vibrant worship, sound biblical preaching, sacramental life, prayer, Christian education, and active discipleship. Our ministries—including Church School, Bible Study, and Sunday Worship—are designed to nurture holiness of heart and life while equipping believers to serve faithfully in their homes and communities.
United in community, we extend Christ’s love beyond our sanctuary walls through outreach, fellowship, and justice-centered engagement in Birmingham. At Wright’s Chapel, faith is lived out together—across generations—through encouragement, accountability, and shared mission.
Our pastor, Jeremy B. Joseph, a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, leads with a commitment to biblical truth, pastoral care, and transformative ministry. Under his leadership, we seek to remain rooted in Christ, rising in freedom, and committed together in faith.
